Is it possible to have period during pregnancy?

Pregnancy usually causes plenty of hormonal changes which can create a little bit of chaos in your body. Generally speaking, having sex while you’re on your period is considered to be safe, because the ovaries aren’t letting another egg go until it is done, and this is where a lot of young couples try to enjoy unprotected sexual intercourse. Regardless, conception is highly individual and if you’re young and still don’t have stable periods; there are chances for the egg to be release during this time. It’s really all about how controlled your cycles are, which is mostly dependent on your hormonal stability. Because of these deviations, some women can actually experience period during pregnancy, which is not really common but it does happen, giving them signals that they aren’t pregnant while they actually are.

Period is possible during pregnancy

One or two months into your pregnancy might still be followed by a slightly weaker period, which is caused by hormonal misbalance in your body, as it is still adapting to this new state. However, keep in mind that this doesn’t happen as often and is usually caused by stress. If you have unprotected sex, you need to be aware of the risks that are involved in it, related to pregnancy but sexually transmitted diseases as well. Let’s say that there is about 1-5% of chance for you to still have your period even though you are pregnant, which is the same chance for one to get pregnant when having unprotected sex in the unfertile phase of the menstrual cycle.

On the other hand, if your pregnancy was planned and you’re still experiencing periods, you’re probably worried about something being wrong. Nothing is wrong, don’t worry. As I’ve said already, this is just a natural way of your body adapting to its new state. The menstrual bleeding should definitely stop two months after conception (if not before). If you’ve confirmed your pregnancy and your menstrual cycle goes crazy, it’s time to visit a doctor and explain what’s troubling you, there might be some easy solutions for your problem.

In many cases women take anti-pregnancy pills while they are too young for pregnancy, which can actually be quite beneficial for your hormones. This is a popular way of reorganizing your menstrual cycle, which can have positive effects on these late periods as well, since your body will have more control over your hormones. If you’re experiencing irregular periods, it’s important to consider using these pills for controlling everything, because you will see a noticeable difference after a couple of months of using them. There is a lot of these pills available for you in legit pharmacies and it’s up to you to decide which would you like to try, as most of them will have a similar if not identical effect. These pills usually stabilize the hormonal status of a woman, which is quite important to do especially in a young age.
